Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag tells the story of Edward Kenway, a young Englishman in constant pursuit of new exploits and adventures, who will go from being a privateer in the service of the British Navy to becoming a fierce pirate as the war between the major Empires now draws to a close. Edward is a worthy pirate and an experienced warrior who soon finds himself caught up in the ancient conflict between Assassins and Templars. Set in the early 18th century, the game includes some of history’s most infamous pirates, such as Blackbeard and Charles Vane, immersing players in an adventurous journey through the West Indies during a rather turbulent period of history that would later be known as the Golden Age of Piracy.

Challenge History
Three students and two former students of the Paris Academy of Fine Arts, supervised by Professor Philippe Bennequin, are painting the approximately ten-square-meter canvas under the supervision of Ubisoft. The subject of the painting is a naval battle, loosely inspired by the painting “La Défaite de l’Invincible Armada” (1796) by Jacques Philippe de Loutherbourg .
About 200 characters will appear in the picture, most of them chosen through the“Challenge History” contest.
Delivery is expected in September. Later, from Nov. 5 to Dec. 3, the canvas will be exhibited at the Musée national de la Marine in Paris. He will tour various European museums afterward.
