Prince of Persia Assassins
Assassin’s Creed everyone knows it. Good or bad, even those who have never picked up a joypad in their lives will have come across the white hood of Altair or Ezio Auditore at least once. On TV, in bookstores, on Youtube, the assassins of house Ubisoft represent for many the symbol of modern video gaming.
However, not everyone is aware of the origins of this successful franchise. Back in 2004, the transalpine giant was already at work on the concept of the first chapter, designed, however, as a spin-off of the already famous Prince of Persia saga. He was born Prince of Persia Assassins, a title that would later lay the groundwork for theAssasin’s Creed that we are now familiar with. A pixel embryo viewable not only in some (beautiful) sketches preparatory, but even in video.
The clip above your little heads, in fact, hides a few minutes of pure, sketchy gameplay, and features an assassin prowling through the crowd, then escaping with a companion on horseback.
