It is a book written by Oliver Bowden and chronicles the adventures of Ezio Auditore. Sperling & Kupfer Publishers, book released in 2013.

In January 1500, Cesare Borgia attacked Monteriggioni, home of the Assassins. Mario Auditore, head of the Order, died in the siege. His nephew, Aetius, is forced to leave for Rome to avenge his uncle's death and bring the Templars to their knees once and for all and defeat Spanish rule.
