In line with the other titles that preceded it, Assassin’s Creed Revelations will also feature some important innovations in terms of gameplay, but these will be introduced without distorting too much the style that has distinguished the saga for years. These will therefore mostly be expedients aimed at fixing any flaws shown in the previous chapters of the series, or at giving more depth and variety to the situations in which the protagonist will find himself involved.
In spite of his age, Ezio is still very agile and can also use his new hook to climb.One of the new features, for example, will consist of a novel “weapon” related to a new ability of Ezio’s, namely that of being able to move more quickly from one area of Constantinople to another by taking advantage of a series of nets consisting of suspended ropes, scattered around the city. This is a hook that the assassin will have mounted directly underneath the concealed blade, and which he can use to slide on the aforementioned ropes as a kind of human cable car, but also to climb towers or engage ledges placed too high to be reached normally by simple climbing. The item can also be used to kill enemies.
Among other things, it appears that Ezio will be faster in his movements of outflanking and silently attacking his victims, thanks to a new set of animations, the implementation of a command system that is more immediate to execute, and better abilities, such as devising traps to immobilize or eliminate enemies.
